Nations

A nation is a group of players that owns land together. It is the center of the game: land, money, borders and wars all belong to nations.

All nation commands start with /nation. The short forms /nations and /nx work too. Type /nation help to see the list in game.

Found a nation

Stand on the chunk where you want your capital and type:

/nation create <name> [tag]

Members and ranks

CommandWhat it does
/nation invite <player>Invite a player. The invite expires after 5 minutes.
/nation accept [nation]Accept an invite. You join as a resident.
/nation deny [nation]Turn an invite down.
/nation revoke <player>Take back an invite you sent.
/nation kick <player>Remove a member.
/nation promote <player> and demoteChange a member's rank.
/nation leader <player>Hand over leadership. The old leader becomes an officer.
/nation leaveLeave your nation.

A nation can have up to 50 members.

Claim land

Land is claimed in chunks, which are 16 by 16 blocks.

/nation claim claim the chunk you stand in
/nation claim auto keep claiming as you walk
/nation claim square 2 claim a square around you (radius up to 3)
/nation unclaim give a chunk back
/nation map show a map of claims around you

How much you can claim

What a claim protects

Inside a claim, outsiders cannot build, break or use blocks. Explosions, fire spread and mob griefing are off. PvP is still on inside claims.

Nations can set their border to open (anyone may walk in) or members (members only) with /nation policy.

Treasury and tax

/nation treasury show the balance
/nation treasury deposit 500 add money
/nation treasury withdraw 500 take money out
/nation tax show the tax and upkeep
/nation tax set 50 set the per-member tax

Claims are paid for from the treasury, so a nation needs income. Chunk upkeep is currently 0. That setting can change.

If a nation is disbanded, what is left in its treasury goes to the leader.

Customize

Diplomacy

Every pair of nations has a relation: neutral, ally or at war.

CommandWhat it does
/nation diplomacy listShow your relations.
/nation diplomacy ally <nation>Propose an alliance. The other side must accept.
/nation diplomacy break <nation>End an alliance.
/nation diplomacy war <nation>Declare war.
/nation diplomacy peace <nation>Propose peace. Terms can include chunks and money.
/nation diplomacy accept or declineAnswer a proposal.

Peace terms use these words: give-chunks <n|all>, give-pay <amount>, ask-chunks <n|all>, ask-pay <amount>.

Sieges

A siege lets one nation capture chunks from an enemy it is at war with.

/nation siege start
/nation siege status
/nation siege cancel

Sieges are where cannons and cavalry matter. Captured chunks change owner, and peace terms can hand them back.

The live map

Every border is on the live map. In game, /nation web login signs you in to the map, /nation web hide hides you from it, and /nation web logout signs you out.

Passports and visas

Nations can control who enters. With the passport system, walking into a nation's land without a visa can mark you as illegal there. See Passports and visas.
